DEILMANN CRUISES ADDS TO GROWING ROSTER OF PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS WITH TRAVEL + LEISURE’S “WORLD’S BEST AWARD” IN SMALL-SHIP CRUISE LINE CATEGORY

New York, NY September 2007 -- For the fourth year in a row, Peter Deilmann’s river and ocean fleet scored high marks with U.S. travelers in a survey conducted by the prestigious Travel + Leisure magazine, voted one of the top ten small-ship cruise lines in its “World’s Best Awards” for 2007. This award is one of a long line of praise the cruise line has received over the years including six years on Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List and eight years on Porthole Cruise magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards as Best River Cruise Line. And in Great Britain, the prestigious Helmsman’s Award naming Peter Deilmann Cruises “Best River Cruise Company” was announced in December 2006 by the UK’s Daily Cruise News. The Deilmann award appears in the Travel + Leisure August edition as well as online.

The survey developed by the editors of T+L was sent out to the magazine’s subscribers earlier this year and rates the cruise lines on service, itineraries/destinations, food, activities, cabins and value.

A pioneer in the river cruise industry in the 1980s, Peter Deilmann was the first to design and build ships that reflected the style and amenities of ocean-going cruise ships but were keyed to the unique specifications of river cruising. In 1998 Deilmann launched the ocean liner MS Deutschland – a 513-passenger luxury reminiscent of Old World cruising with grand European styling. In 2008, the five-star ship will sail the seas of Europe, Russia, Africa and Asia. Deilmann’s program of “Special Interest” cruises, introduced in 2005, has grown in popularity and choices with 2008 possibilities including recitals and concerts performed by distinguished classical musicians and discussions with composers, teeing off on some of the world’s finest golf courses, visiting many of the world’s renowned gardens with an expert, equestrian riding through the stunning landscapes of the Baltics, Europe, and the Middle East, and hiking or cycling with learned escorts along the world’s most scenic paths. On-board “Wellness Spa” programs range from classic back massages to Kraxen-oven heat treatments and Rasul full-body peels.

Peter Deilmann Cruises also offers more than 265 leisurely European river sailings aboard nine deluxe river ships between late March and early November that sail the classic rivers of Europe on mostly seven-night cruises. The river cruises are designed for both the first-time and frequent vacationer who likes traveling in comfort with attentive service and fine dining. On board, guests can relax and enjoy the changing river scenes of historic cities, pastoral countryside, castles perched on hillsides, old world villages and sun-dappled vineyards. Adventurous shore excursions add to the fun. With one crew member for every 2.5 guests, Deilmann has the most crew per passengers of any river cruise company allowing it to offer a very high level of food and service.
