SOUTHEAST ASIA VOYAGES ON DEILMANN OCEAN LINER SAIL TO THAILAND, SINGAPORE, BALI, HONG KONG, VIETNAM AND CHINA
Free Air, Free Shore Excursions and Transfers For U.S. Travelers; Departures Are December 2007 through February 2008

New York, March 14, 2007 – The 513-passenger ocean liner MS Deutschland of Peter Deilmann Cruises is sailing to Southeast Asia countries on four cruises between Dec. 18, 2007 and February 21, 2008 and Deilmann is wooing U.S. travelers with free air from the U.S., free transfers and free shore excursions. The voyages vary in length from 14 to 19 nights.
For travelers from North America, the 2007-2008 Southeast Asia cruises and dates are: Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Hong Kong, Dec. 17-Jan. 6; Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore, Jan. 5-23; Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Japan, Jan. 21-Feb. 9; and Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and Myanmar (Burma), Feb. 8-23.
Free air transportation is available in conjunction with these cruises from New York and 16 other U.S. cities and Deilmann also has very low air supplements from an additional 34 cities in the Midwest and West. The cruise line will also provide a package of free shore excursions with each voyage valued up to $600 per person along with free airport-ship transfers roundtrip. Flight itineraries for Deilmann’s air program operate via Frankfurt to break up the long air journey to Asia. One-night pre and post accommodations at the Frankfurt Sheraton at the airport are included at no extra charge.
Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Miami, Buffalo, Charlotte, Pittsburgh and eight other cites are among the free air gateways in the East. The low air supplement of $110 is available from Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Louisville, St. Louis and 12 other cities in the central states and the low air supplement of only $150 is available from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Sacramento, Seattle and eight other western gateways.
The first Southeast Asia voyage, a 20-night sailing boarding Dec. 18 in Phuket, Thailand, begins with an overnight stay in the Thai city and in Singapore, two nights in Benoa on the island of Bali and two in Hong Kong. The ship calls at Pare Pare on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, Sandakan, gateway to Borneo's wildlife, in Malaysia, and Puerto Princesa, known for tropical birding, in the Philippines. The ship arrives in Hong Kong on Jan. 4 so passengers can explore the city and enjoy two nights aboard the deluxe vessel.
The second cruise begins in Hong Kong with two nights aboard ship and departs Jan. 8 for Haiphong, Vietnam. From here, passengers visit Hanoi, where they take a walking tour through the walled courtyards of the Temple of Literature and enjoy a luncheon of local delicacies. The ship sails on to Da Nang for a full day to visit Hoi An, a newly recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site, the local market and the Hoi An Museum. There are two full days in bustling Ho Chi Min City, popularly known as Saigon, with guided tours to the major sites of the city and underground network of tunnels used by soldiers during the war. Other highlights of the 18-night cruise are Cambodia’s capital of Phnom Penh and the island city-state of Singapore for a two-night stay.
The third cruise begins Jan. 22 with two full days in Singapore, calls at Phnom Penh, Da Nang and Hong Kong before visiting the island of Okinawa in Japan and Shanghai and Xiamen in China. The sailing concludes with an overnight in Hong Kong, Feb. 8. The final 14-night voyage begins Feb. 9 with two days in Hong Kong, visits De Nang, and has overnight stays in Singapore, Phuket and Yangon, the former capital city of Rangoon, in Myanmar (Burma), surrounded on three sides by water.
Peter Deilmann built the MS Deutschland as a classic ocean liner with just 286 staterooms for discriminating travelers seeking a traditional cruise experience recalling the golden era of grand ocean travel. The expanded Wellness Spa offers Thalasso Therapy, Cleopatra Bath, other health and beauty treatments and a wide choice of massage therapy. Passengers can participate in daily fitness classes that include Pilates, Nordic walking and aqua jogging as well as make-up and fitness consulting sessions.
Free airport-ship transfers are included in any air arranged by Deilmann Cruises and the cruise line offers a $750 deduction from cruise rates for those who prefer to use frequent flyer miles instead of Deilmann’s air program. Canadians receive a $1,000 air allowance deduction from cruise rates through Exclusive Tours, Deilmann’s general sales agent in Canada.
