DEILMANN’S SPRING MEDITERRANEAN AND EUROPE CRUISES OFFER FREE AIR, 10% DISCOUNTS ON CRUISE RATES
12-Night Sailings April 12, 24 and May 6 Visit Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco

NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2005 – The Mediterranean and western Europe in springtime on three different cruises with free air and 10 percent discounts on cruise rates is what Peter Deilmann Cruises is offering U.S. travelers looking for a European voyage on a grand hotel, the five-star MS Deutschland. The 12-night cruises calling at ports in Italy, Monaco, Spain, Morocco, Portugal and France sail from Venice, April 12, Civitavecchia (Rome), April 24, and Malaga, May 6. Passengers can fly free roundtrip from 16 U.S. cities and save up to $1,248 on the cruise rates alone.
An added incentive for U.S. travelers to book these Grand Hotel Voyages around Italy, from Italy to Spain and from Spain to Germany is the 50% reduction on pre-arranged packages of English-language shore excursions and free airport/ship transfers. Prices on these cruises begin at $3,647 per person while single staterooms start at $4,030.
The free round-trip air transportation is available from New York City and 15 other eastern U.S. gateways. Air supplements from 19 Midwest cities cost just $60 to $70 and $150 to $170 from 13 cities in the West. For passengers arranging their own air, there is a $750 reduction from the cruise fare.
The April 12th Italy cruise begins with an overnight in Venice and then sails to Ravenna, Tarent, Syracusa (Sicily), the islands of Lipari and Stromboli, Naples, Olbia on Sardinia, Florence (Livorno) and ends with an overnight in Rome. The April 24 itinerary starts from Civitavecchia (port of Rome) to Cagliari, Sardinia; Porteferraio, Elba; Ajaccio, Corsica; Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, Barcelona, Puerto Banus on the Costa del Sol and Malaga.
On May 6th, the 513-passenger Deutschland sails from Malaga to Tangier, Lisbon, La Coruna and Santander (Spain), La Pallice and St. Malo (France) arriving in Hamburg on May 18. This sailing has two at sea days when passengers can take advantage of the ship’s new Wellness Day Spa or relax on one of the sun decks or at poolside.
All three cruises offer optional golf cruise packages and two sailings, April 12 and May 6, have optional garden cruise packages.
A classic ocean liner, launched in 1998 and meticulously refurbished every year, the nine-deck ship is richly decorated in art nouveau and art deco styles recalling earlier days of grand ocean travel. The ship’s three beautifully designed restaurants and outdoor dining terrace provide both formal and informal settings for dining, while intimate salons and comfortable cafes with music provide before and after dining entertainment. The high level of service adds to passengers’ comfort with one crewmember for every two passengers.
Outdoor and indoor swimming pools, three sun decks, open-air promenade deck, an elegant theater for film screenings and lectures, fitness center, sauna, Turkish bath, grand two-level ballroom with dancing and international revue shows, shopping boutique, beauty salon with massage therapy and infirmary are other features of the ship.
Altogether in 2006, Deilmann is offering free air and reductions on cruise rates on 18 ocean voyages of seven to 21 nights to southern Africa and Indian Ocean islands, the western Mediterranean, Norwegian Fjords, the British Isles and Ireland, the Baltic and Black Sea countries and on a gala onboard Mediterranean music cruise in October. For solo travelers, the 286-cabin Deutschland has 67 singles and charges considerably less for single supplements than other cruise lines.
